Clashing Concept

Horseshoe-heel patent-leather pump, Lanvin, £640
Bebel Cotton Platform Pumps, Charlotte Olympia, £630
Power Patent Leather Pumps, Brian Attwood, £340
Silk Crepe Peep Toe Pumps, Pierre Hardy, £360
Lois Orange Suede Knot Detail Platform, Topshop, £65
Pointed Bow Ballerinas, Zara, £39.99
Foil Turquoise Leather Metallic Trim Sandals, Topshop, £42

This season is all about colour, whether it is reds, oranges and greens or highlighter pinks, blues and yellows, the brighter the better. Clashing à la 70s is once again acceptable so make the most of it. If you think the shoes are too much, add a splash of colour to your outfit with a fluoro pink or orange nail varnish ... Illamasqua's Gamma and Dior's Aloha (both Neon Orange) are two of my faves.

Olympia Launches

Maxine, £659
Piano, £650
Dolly, £560
Bananas is my Business, £970

The Charlotte Olympia website has finally been launched this week. After months of anticipation, it is now live, and I love it.

Charlotte is renowned for her love of leopard print, killer heels and quirky-ness and the current designs definitely boast all of these. Not only does the site offer the Spring / Summer 2011 collection, but also web exclusives, clutch bags and tights. Top of my list are the Dolly's... one day a pair will be mine!

Le 8, Rive Gauche

Something I love about Paris which I think the UK lacks is independent retailers, particularly in the concept store stream. In the heart of St Germain is a hidden gem - Le 8, Rive Gauche - only having opened about 4 months ago, it is new to the Parisian trainer scene. It is a concept store with the tag-line 'Rare Sneakers and Fine Apparel' and both of which, it definitely has. Whether you are after Nike Barkleys, Jordan Originals, Air Max or Adidas, they have it and they are amongst a huge collection.

Every month the walls are showcase to a different artists work (which opens with a champagne soiree), the rails to a small collection of one-off clothing from a different designer and the cabinets full to bursting with restored trainers, rare finds and unusual styles.

Their website is currently under construction, but if you are in the area and into trainers, it is definitely worth a look.

Studs, Studs, Grungy Studs

My Street Style
Sam Edelman Exie Stud Detail at ASOS.com (£140)
Dapper Stud Shoe, Office (£45)
Zigi Stud Trainers at ASOS.com (£90 reduced from £150)
Lucifer Bow 45 Leather Pumps, Christian Louboutin (£645)

Crystal - Studded Suede Ankle Boots, Alexander McQueen (£1,090)

When I was flaneuse-ing the streets of Paris at Fashion Week, there were studs galore on people's feet. Whether they were on boots, lace ups, slips on, heels, flats or trainers, mixed with patent, matte, battered or regular leather, they were everywhere. Chanel's smouldering grunge trend for AW '11/'12 will be huge and studs will be the perfect way to follow it, for both men and women.

Alongside some of my snapshots are some beauts you can buy of your own!
